Different learning styles suit different people so we think it is vital that we customise diabetes education around you instead of giving one size fits all, generic advice.
Private education does come with a small out of pocket expense, as there is minimal government support for sustaining this private practice. It will be money well spent and you can expect results; ask yourself, can you put a price on your health?
Mobile Services are also available at an additional cost for those unable to attend the centre and we offer Skype consultations for rural and remote people to save you time and money to travel to appointments.
Please see your Doctor as you may be eligible for a Team Care Arrangement (TCA)/Enhanced Primary Care plan (EPC) or Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA) referral. This may then entitle you to a Medicare rebate. Check your Private Health Fund as you may also be eligible for reimbursement with your cover.
I love to share my knowledge to assist others and my experience as a consultant pharmacist and a diabetes educator in various settings has allowed me to gain different sets of skills and apply them accordingly. Being a healthcare professional has enabled me to meet many wonderful patients and allowed me to gain more understanding of their needs and best interests, so that I can contribute to providing better health solutions. I will always, to be best of my ability, be a helpful and friendly Consultant Pharmacist and a Diabetes Educator. I’m also enthusiastic to extend my services for patients who would benefit from my bilingual skill, as I am also fluent in Mandarin. I intend to share my knowledge and energy with people who appreciate the evidence-based knowledge in both English and Mandarin. I currently work in a community pharmacy and a medical centre in Gold Coast, Australia.
